Depiction of Preparing for Consumer Duty

Preparing for Consumer Duty

Due to high demand, Oxera and UK Finance are running this workshop again. The feedback from previous participants included: ‘[This is the] first truly practical application of what the Consumer Duty means’, and ‘Will help enormously with our implementation!’.

In collaboration with UK Finance we’re running an interactive workshop to help financial services providers understand the implications of the FCA’s new Consumer Duty.

The workshop will focus on practical actions to prepare your organisation, showing you how to apply and embed relevant tools such as behavioural economics, data analytics and science and business model analysis.

The agenda will include:

  • Revolution or evolution: what does the Consumer Duty require of providers? This will include a discussion on the interpretation of ‘foreseeable harm’.
  • What is the new toolkit? Insights from behavioural economics, data science, and business model analysis.
  • How do we achieve the Four Outcomes? Practical steps and insights to takeaway. This will include how to design of Management Information; when and how to test customer communications; how to conduct a sludge audit; and more.
