Melanie Reichmann Analyst

Melanie is a member of Oxera’s Finance and Valuation team. She uses financial and analytical tools to provide solutions to a range of client issues and has worked on projects spanning commercial disputes and regulatory finance. She has carried out valuation work involving FRAND disputes and transport-related assets, as well as damages quantification in class actions.

Melanie holds an LLB in Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil, and a dual master’s degree: an MSc in International Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo and an MSc in Finance from ESADE in Spain. Melanie is also a bar-certified lawyer registered with the São Paulo branch of the Brazilian Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil). Before joining Oxera, she gained experience in tax litigation at the São Paulo office of Mattos Filho, one of Brazil’s leading law firms, and later worked in litigation finance at Jive Asset Management, a Brazilian alternative investment firm.

  • Computed the WACC for a regulated energy company in the Iberian market (2025)

  • Performed financial and strategic analyses for a luxury retail company in Spain (2025)

  • Conducted the financial assessment of a major environmental class action arising from a mining-related disaster in Brazil, undertaken to support a potential investment in the litigation. (2021, prior to joining Oxera)
