Malte is a member of Oxera’s Competition team. He holds a PhD in Business Economics from KU Leuven, where he specialised in economic matters relating to innovation economics and policy. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, where he focused on industrial organisation and competition economics, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cologne. Before joining Oxera in January 2026, Malte completed an internship and worked as a student assistant at a German economic consultancy firm.
