Dr Brian Jagusch Consultant

Brian is a member of Oxera’s Competition team. He applies his knowledge of economics and skills in econometrics to provide original solutions to complex questions for his clients. Prior to joining Oxera in March 2024, he interned at a European economics consultancy, where he worked on various projects, including projects relating to cartels and estimation of damages.

Brian completed a PhD in Economics at The University of Edinburgh. He also holds an MSc in Economics from The University of Edinburgh, and a BSc in Economics from the University of Münster. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. His academic research focuses on public finance and labour market interventions, using state-of-the-art methods of causal inference and machine-learning techniques for causal inference.
