Adam Hildred : Senior Consultant

Adam is a member of Oxera’s Competition team. He has led on major projects and has experience across a number of subject areas including mergers and competition litigations, as well as the design of appropriate regulatory frameworks. He has worked across a range of sectors including transport, financial services, retail and telecoms.

Adam worked at Oxera between 2014 and 2018, and rejoined in 2022 having practised as a financial auditor in the interim. He is a Chartered Accountant, and as well as expertise when dealing with and analysing financial information, this experience gives him an understanding of the real-world mechanics of businesses across a wide range of sectors—from SMEs through to large listed enterprises.

  • Advice and input to expert report concerning the appropriate product and geographic markets for minerals and traceability services concerning these in Kerilee vs. ITA (2022–25)

  • Provided advice and input to expert reports in the context of BT’s defence against a collective action claiming excessive pricing of its landline voice services (2023–24)

  • Undertook a review of the regulatory compliance outcomes and procedures for a major UK bank (2022–24)

  • Merger clearance and remedy advice concerning Sure’s acquisition of the Airtel-Vodafone mobile network in the Channel Islands (2022–24)

  • Provided advice to Mastercard and input to expert reports regarding collective proceedings brought against it in relation to interchange fees (2022–24)
