Seminar on the Foreign Subsidies Regulation

Registration for this event has now closed. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, in case space becomes available, please email: [email protected].

In June 2023, the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (‘FSR’) came into force. While companies and practitioners are learning to tackle the notification and internal reporting challenges, a number of questions remain open around key concepts of the FSR.

In addition, the Commission published last week a Call for Evidence to inform the elaboration of the guidelines on certain key concepts of the FSR, which will need to be adopted by 13 January 2026. Stakeholders have until 2 April to submit their comments

Join us on 27 March 2025 at this free, must-attend event, to hear from some of those working at the forefront of the FSR and relevant industries, including:

• Leo Flynn, Director of State Aid, European Commission’s Legal Services
• Eddy De Smijter, Head of the Foreign Subsidies I Unit, DG Competition
• Linlin Liang, Director of Communication and Research, China Chamber of Commerce to the European Union
• Giles Dickson, CEO, WindEurope
• Ianis Girgenson, Group General Counsel, United Group

The discussions will address practical concrete questions facing businesses and practitioners, and will look ahead in terms of FSR enforcement over the forthcoming year.
