Oxera announces Enno Eilts’ promotion to Partner in its German Competition team

Based in Oxera’s Berlin office, Enno specialises in the economics of competition, and previously worked for the UK Competition Commission (now the Competition and Markets Authority) and the New Zealand Commerce Commission.

His professional experience in competition economics includes work on merger analysis, abuse of dominance, state aid, and cartel damages litigation. Recent cartel damages cases he has worked on in Germany include car parts, cathode ray tubes, sugar, and rail tracks.

Enno also regularly teaches at Oxera’s external training courses on competition economics. Other training courses he has taught on include Advanced Competition Economics at the University of Johannesburg, and State Aid modules at the Academy of European Law in Trier and the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht.

Oxera Partner, Dr Gunnar Niels, commented: ‘Enno has helped Oxera build its presence in Germany ever since we opened the Berlin office in 2013. Lawyers and corporate clients see him as an expert economist who is easy to work with and can explain complex matters in plain language.’

Enno Eilts commented: ‘I am looking forward to taking Oxera’s presence in Germany to a new level, using economics to help our clients achieve effective outcomes in competition law matters.’
