The Brexit Lectures: A global trade policy for the UK post-Brexit

Following the vote to leave the European Union, the UK must now conceive and execute a trade policy fit for a service-dominated economy in the 21st century. Having pooled responsibility for international trade in EU institutions for decades, the strategic, operational and personnel challenges this poses are substantial, but also presents the UK with a previously unknown freedom of navigation. The lecture will explore the international trade landscape in 2017 and the options open to a globally-minded UK.

The lecture will be delivered by Patrick Low, and will be followed by a panel discussion with Professor L Alan Winters. The evening will take place at the Institute of Directors in London, and will begin with networking and refreshments at 6.30 pm.
