Oxera assisted Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP in securing a significant judgment in favour of AXA France IARD and AXA France VIE (AXA France) in the High Court, with AXA France awarded £675 million in damages in a long-running commercial dispute with Santander Cards UK Ltd and Santander Insurance Services UK Limited.

The case concerned losses incurred by AXA France in relation to payment protection insurance (PPI) policies.

Working closely with the legal team at Quinn Emanuel, Oxera provided economic analysis on key financial and commercial issues.
