Luka Parisi : Analyst

Luka is a member of Oxera’s Analytics and Competition Centres of Excellence. He specialises in the application of economic principles, data analysis, statistical techniques, and complex data processing methods to competition matters. He has advised clients in merger reviews across a range of industries and jurisdictions, and has supported clients in other areas, such as litigation and regulatory proceedings.

Prior to joining Oxera, Luka worked as a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow at Tilburg University, where he contributed to research in applied microeconomics and economic history.  He worked on projects examining the long-term impact of motherhood on gender gaps in self-employment and entrepreneurship, and how exposure to wartime violence shapes far-right voting patterns and attitudes towards migrants.

professional experience

  • Assisting a European government in obtaining merger clearance for the acquisition of a strategic transport infrastructure asset, and developing an economic model assessing a hypothetical input foreclosure theory of harm (2025–)

  • Assisting a global food manufacturer in obtaining merger clearance for the acquisition of a major snacks producer (2024–)

  • Assisted a leading fibre-optic communications equipment supplier in securing unconditional Phase 1 clearance for a global merger before the European Commission and several other competition authorities (2024–25)

  • Advised a major automotive manufacturer in the context of ongoing competition litigation (2024)
