Dr Minyoung Rho Data Scientist Consultant

Minyoung is a member of Oxera’s Data Science and Analytics team. She has advised firms on a variety of issues in the regulation, litigation and strategy space using quantitative econometrics and data science techniques.

Prior to joining Oxera she was a research fellow and lecturer at Barcelona School of Economics, where she taught PhD-level Econometrics and received research grants on her research on estimating the impact of financial policy in the Spanish housing market during the global financial crisis that began in 2007.

  • Assessment of the behavioural and financial impact on retail banking customers as a result of the partial or full closure of certain retail branches (2022)

  • Quantifying the proportion of gig workers who are on multiple platforms (2022)

  • Estimation of the demand for mobile phone devices in response to a change in price. This analysis was conducted in the context of an ongoing litigation case (2022)

  • Providing support on cost assessment for UK water companies in the context of a regulatory review (2022)
