Shreya is highly knowledgeable, hard working and fearless.

Shreya is a leading expert in financial valuation and competition economics, with particular expertise in disputes involving intellectual property (IP). She leads Oxera’s IP practice and is also a senior member of the Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration team.

Shreya frequently serves as an expert witness before courts and arbitral tribunals, and has advised on more than fifty disputes across a range of sectors including telecoms, hi-tech, life sciences and financial services. In IP disputes, Shreya’s experience spans assessing reasonable royalties, hypothetical licence fees, accounts of profits, lost profits, and allegations of abuse of dominance. Beyond IP, Shreya brings wide-ranging expertise in counterfactual analysis and the quantification of damages in contract disputes, as well as in financial matters arising in post-M&A disputes.

Shreya was named Arbitration Expert of the Year at Lexology’s European Awards in 2025 and is consistently recognised in leading legal directories. She was invited to co-chair the Global Arbitration Review (GAR) Live Damages conference in London in both 2024 and 2025. She taught at the Durham Law School Summer Course on International Arbitration in 2025 and served as a faculty member of the GAR Academy on Damages in International Arbitration (2023–25) and the Delos Dispute Resolution course on IP valuation (2022–25). Shreya regularly speaks at international conferences and delivers training on economic and financial valuation matters to lawyers, judges, and arbitrators in the UK, Europe, and China.

  • Appointed as testifying expert in a post M&A dispute involving a hi-tech company in a DIS-administered arbitration (2024–)

  • Testified as expert witness for a global manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients in an ICC-administered arbitration against a global pharmaceutical company claiming over $500m in lost profits due to supply disruption (2023–25)

  • Appointed as testifying expert in a damages claim arising from an unjust injunction (2024)

  • Testified as expert witness for a major patent owner of 4G technologies in disputes with multiple implementers before the Court of The Hague (2020)
