Shreya is a thorough and deeply knowledgeable expert who remains independent.

Shreya is a leading expert in financial valuation, with a particular focus on matters involving intellectual property (IP). She jointly leads Oxera’s IP and Life Sciences practices.

Shreya frequently serves as an expert witness before courts and arbitral tribunals, and has advised on more than fifty disputes across a range of sectors including telecoms, hi-tech, life sciences and financial services. In IP disputes, Shreya’s experience spans assessing reasonable royalties, impact of preliminary injunctions, hypothetical licence fees, accounts of profits, lost profits, and valuation of copyrights, brands and trademarks. Beyond IP, Shreya brings wide-ranging expertise in counterfactual analysis and the quantification of damages in contract disputes, as well as in financial matters arising in post-M&A disputes.

Shreya was named Arbitration Expert of the Year at Lexology’s European Awards in 2025 and is consistently recognised in leading legal directories.

  • Expert advice to ZTE in its licensing dispute with Samsung before the UK High Court, concerning fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND) royalties (2025–26)

  • Expert advice to an implementer of a content provenance standard in patent infringement proceedings before the Unified Patent Court (2025–26)

  • Testified on behalf of a private equity firm in a DIS-administered arbitration arising from an aborted sale of a hi-tech company (2024–26)

  • Testified on behalf of a global manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients in an ICC-administered arbitration against a global pharmaceutical company claiming over $500m in lost profits due to supply disruption (2023–25)

  • Expert advice to a leading cancer research institute in its UK High Court litigation involving breach of a research programme (2023)
