Portrait of Dr Nicole Rosenboom

Dr Nicole Rosenboom : Partner

Nicole specialises in competition economics and antitrust damages. Her focus is on antitrust, covering cartels and abuse of dominance in a wide variety of sectors. She has advised clients on determining the relevant market, assessing dominance and the (lack of) effects of an agreement or abusive conduct. With regards to private enforcement, she has experience in consumer claims as well as business-to-business claims, with a balance between advising claimants and defendants in multiple jurisdictions.

Recently, she has expanded into the area of sustainability and competition, as well as into ESG litigation, where she applies the same economic toolkit to environmental aspects.

She brings a thorough understanding of the legal situation of any given case, and is experienced in advising clients and their legal representatives in a way that best meets their needs.

Nicole publishes regularly in professional journals in the field of competition law and economics, and often speaks at conferences. She has a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, which focused on cartels. Before joining Oxera, she worked for eight years as a senior competition researcher for a Dutch consultancy firm.

Nicole speaks English, and Dutch.
