Ignacio has over ten years’ experience in applying economics to a range of competition, regulation and public policy issues. He joined Oxera as a Senior Consultant in 2022 and is a member of its Competition team. Since joining Oxera, Ignacio has worked across a number of sectors, including financial services and telecoms.
Before joining Oxera, Ignacio held several public policy positions in the Chilean government, and worked as a senior economist in the Chilean Competition Court and as a senior economic adviser in the Chilean President’s staff. During his time at in the Competition Court, he advised judges on the resolution of over 30 proceedings, including cartels, abuse of dominance, mergers, public procurement and regulatory cases.
