We’re delighted to announce that two Oxera consultants, Jostein Kristensen (Partner) and Sahar Shamsi (Principal), have been listed in the upcoming 2018 edition of Who’s Who Legal: Energy—a guide to the world’s leading energy lawyers and consulting experts.

Jostein leads Oxera’s Energy practice and he advises companies, governments, investors and regulatory authorities on antitrust and regulatory issues as well as commercial disputes. He has provided expert advice, reports and testimony in the electricity, natural gas, oil, and thermal coal sectors. Jostein has testified at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague on behalf of EDF International in a dispute concerning the early termination of power purchase agreements in Hungary. He has also provided testimony to European and UK competition authorities.

A specialist in finance and regulation,  Sahar leads work in Oxera’s Energy practice. She has given Expert testimony in relation to energy regulation in the UK and internationally. She has an extensive track record of advising companies and regulators across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Australasia. She speaks about regulation and finance issues at conferences. Sahar has prepared expert evidence on finance and competition issues in many UK High Court proceedings, as well as in international tribunals such as ICSID.
