Oxera contributes to OECD roundtable on competition concerns in ports and port services

Oxera recently prepared a background paper on competition concerns in ports and port services as consultants to the Secretariat of the OECD Working Party 2 on Competition and Regulation. Enno Eilts, Senior Consultant, presented the paper at an OECD roundtable in June 2011, where he focused on outlining the conceptual framework for market definition in the ports sector. The background paper also addresses issues of assessing market power, determining anti-competitive practices, and privatisation and regulatory reform in the sector.
